Black and White Voilá!

Found this cutest chair on Kaivarin Kannuna but thought it needed some "refreshing"... Baby B. thought so too and decided to "Redesign" it! ... chair then got some shapes glued randomly and some drawing in it.... (so creative this little one :D)!

Robot bag we got from godfather! He carried his little teddy bear in an exact same one some many years ago and thought B. should carry hers too... :D.

Our Kummisetä is the most thoughtful and we miss him very much now that he lives a little far away!

5 plus!

Today is the day I celebrate 5 years of "Finland living"... It's cold, many times dark, but I love to love everything else in here... Thanks for all the friends and family who took me with open warm hearts and made life so much fun!
I was thinking what would be the best way to spend this day, how to celebrate, with who??!!... well, with the best company of all... Girly B, of course! So we finished "dressing up" our building blocks and bib got some new look also... then we made omelets for lunch and now, Pulka awaits us!

Ps: We have been "dressing" lots of things around here lately, soon more pics!

*Blocks are Brio and bib is basic Emma. Found both from Prisma!

Eggs and askartelling...

The B castle!

First we had some eggs and then Mama decided to finally decorate some building blocks we got on our trip to Lahti where we visited godfather!

Brio's wooden blocks are so nice but B was much more exited about them after they got new "outfit"!

Few things here and there!

When I think I will be having some spare time.... I don't. Big Brother is so energetic and knows how to keep us busy 24/7... But it's all great cause Baby B. is having the time of her life with him. Because of him actually, I went for the very first time to visit Flamingo Spa and it was a joyful place for the kids, kids of all ages... Not so joyful for myself alone with 1 and half and 8 year olds who wants to jump from 5m high tower and little sister wants to follow.. huhuuu. B got to eat a hamburger and french fries for the first time!
When I finally got some 2 hours for myself, I went to check the sales and found some nice things, which was great because B. has grown out of mostly all of her clothes.
Back at the house we had a Birthday party for big brother (his first party at our place).  I made some craft and some of his favorite foods. Used Blue, his favorite color!

Now that we finally have some snow we plan to go slid with pulkka. B's first time... And soon I plan to blog about a very delicate subject "step children - step parenting"  What is the best way to do  things?!

We found this tee (white with the mustache face) from H&M and I am absolutely in love with the print. It is from boy's collection but we don't mind! :D

Almost Itsenäisyyspäivä!

B's cough still sounds horrible but the fever has gone down a lot, so it looks like she is recovering from this flu! Lets keep fingers crossed that she gets well fast and we can have Mama sleepover at Mama Ulla's place.. Can't wait to see Pienen pieni again! I miss these babies so much and honestly I can't wait to go out of the house! Even work meeting had to be canceled today. This mama really needs to catch some air! On Itsenäisyyspäivä we got to go out after Daddy B. had recovered from keuhkokuume. We went to Mummo's place and the plan was to make piparikakku but B. got sick and we didn't do it, so, no pictures of it! Unfortunately. I was really excited to bake those for the first time... but we will do it as soon as B. is fine!

Mama found Misses Piggy, long lost! And a decorated bib... Slowly I will get things done... today I put a little more decorations on my Christmas branches... soon ready!

Slowly slowly!

Yep, slowly slowly things are happening at the B. castle. Mama did some very little Christmas shopping and has not yet managed to continue decorating my little "Christmas tree branches"... but I am happy to have gotten a work project of my own,  so now I will be even more busy then I thought I would. The problem is, Baby B. fell sick. She has a horrible cough and fever and as her dad has just came out of pneumonia I am very worried. All though they said in the hospital that if she continues to be active then we should not take her yet to hospital. Humm... don't know, I am quite suspicious at times with the health care system. Sometimes you get perfect service and great doctors and nurses but sometimes, it just does not go so well. But let's see how she goes through the night and then decide what to do. So far she has been quite okei and active besides having almost no appetite. But I guess that is normal!

At Mama's work trip to Porvoo (the cutest city ever) there was just a little time for shopping but I found this lovely roll of "ready-to-knit" tricot fabric (still don't know what I am going to do with those) and super cute candy for Dad.

B. got a little jealous of the candies... hehe...

Old curtains will become bed cover soon. Mummo will help.

Candies last moments!

Art day!

Keuhkokuume is finally gone and now we can start our Christmas preparations... or continue them...
Saturday morning we woke up and the sun was there! Baby B. was happy and we got to work! Mama did some craft and B. came up with some artwork of her own! My promising girl! :D

I got some ideas of DIY from Deko e-magazine and Varpunen blog.
(Posted by Mama B.)

B's final drawing project!
I was gonna use it for attaching candles, B. taught is good for art experiment!

Saturday Night we had dinner cooking and B. found Dad's old party glasses (funny ones).

At the B. Castle...

A big thing going on at Baby B.'s quarter... Daddy B. is very very sick,  he's got pneumonia and Mama is now full on busy with husband, baby and home... and simply no time for anything! I think I have never done this much work at once in my life and I have barely left the house besides for buying more food. Baby B. now gets little less playing time outdoors for a little while and I try to manage until he is well. So mixed feelings... Happy that he is home with us all the time and sad he is so very sick! Poor daddy!

Mama got some time to post some pics though...

(a tip for a flea market for kids - Villa Lyhty)

Found from Kierrätyskeskus - Mama changed buttons and color to black.

All things were found from flea markets (besides the Marimekko box).

Mama feels creative!

Joulu time has come and we are all happy and excited about it! Last year these babies were just too small to understand the whole thing. But now they understand a lot more than we actually realize and with that comes the feeling of making their first Christmas a beautiful one. But while thinking about the so awaited decoration I came across the fact that I have a squirrel toddler at home who still wants to chew everything she can get her hands on... So, mama thought, "What would be the best kind of decoration? What could be pretty and still safe?" ... tadaaa... I did this out of old fabric!

You need:
  • styrofoam
  • small pieces of fabric
  • basic glue (Yleisliima)
The decorations look cute and I am not worried that Baby B. will eat or break them! :D

A little observation: it can be done with a baby, NOT with a small toddler (it took me forever when she was around) ...but possible anyway, maybe other mamas will have better luck with their more "calm" little ones! :D
